Elected Governors Of APC Affirm Commitment To Reduce Poverty

Elected Governors under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) said they are committed to implementing programmes that will create jobs, stimulate economic activities, reduce inequality and diminish poverty.

This position was contained in a congratulatory message to mark the 60th birthday of Gombe Governor Muhammad Yahaya.

Chairman Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), Governor of Kebbi Abubakar Bagudu in a statement felicitated with their Gombe State counterpart.

The Governors said:

As we rejoice with Gov. Muhammad Yahaya, we also reaffirmed our collective commitment to implementing programs that would strengthen the capacities of our progressive states to create jobs, stimulate economic activity, reduce inequality and diminish poverty in Nigeria.

The PGF joins Gov. Yahaya of Gombe to celebrate his 60th birthday. Along with the people of the state and other well-meaning Nigerians, we join his family to celebrate this special occasion.

They also acknowledged and applauded Gov. Yahaya’s leadership, vision, and commitment to a united and prosperous Nigeria.

He described the Gombe helmsman as “a shining light of our politics.”

He noted that “guided by the party – APC, you have been a consistent and selfless contributor to progressive initiatives towards developing our states and Nigeria.

We also recognise your insightful and resolute inputs to the processes of managing governance in Gombe State. As Governor of Gombe State, through all the development initiatives being implemented by your APC-led government.
