Presidency confirms that Aso Rock was Attacked by Unknown Gunmen
Tori4africa reports that the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, on Monday verified the Attack, which he describes as “a foolish attempt” to burglarize the residence of the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Claiming that the planned attack on Aso Rock occurred around 3 am but it was not profitable.
An aide to the President revealed,
The Chief of Staff, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, has confirmed that there ‘was a foolish attempt’ to burgle his residence at 3 am this morning, but it turned out to be unsuccessful.
Prof Gambari, whose house is on a street next to the Villa, has assured that there is nothing to worry about from the incident.
Although, it was earlier reported that armed men suspected to be thieves raided the residences of two senior aides to the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), inside the territory of the Presidential Villa, which forced Gambari and the administrative officer, Abubakar Maikano, to evacuate their residences.
