The Lagos State Governor, His Excellency Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced the date for the resumption of churches and mosques.
The Governor also mandated the religious leaders of church and mosque to make sure they all abide and observe the healthy measures ordered by the Lagos State Government.
The Churches and Mosques are now expected to reopen on June 19 to 20, 2020.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu also obliged the church and mosque to make sure children of 1 year to 11 years are not allowed into the worship center.
Also, The Authorities of the church and mosque are expected to be strict about making sure that every member present must be wearing a nose mask.
He stated that a taskforce team have been set up to make sure that no church or mosque disobey the order.
The Governor stated that every denomination of either the church or mosque must not house more than 40 per cent of their capacity. All putting on their face masks.
The Governor ordered that there should be no night vigils, receiving of communion, sharing of food, while mosques should avoid sharing of kettles during abolition.
The newly organised task force will be going to churches and mosques unexpectedly to check if they are actually obeying the orders inorder to contain Coronavirus.
