Hey guys, welcome back to another episode of FPL FOR AFRICA. First off, what the hell happened last game week. 25% of players captained Salah who blanked, the next closest captaincy ownership percentage was at 2.7%. Although the decision to captain him didn’t pay off, it doesn’t mean it was a bad decision as he came close to scoring with 2 big chances and also had a goal ruled out for the tightest of offsides.
GAME WEEK 6 REVIEW
It was a third straight red arrow this week as my captain and 2 of my strikers blanked. Arnold missed out on an assist as Salah’s goal was ruled out. The decision to take Podence off for Zaha paid off as the Ivorian paid off with a goal and an assist getting all Bonus points for a respectable 13 points. Surprisingly, it was a third clean sheet in 4 games for McCarthy in goal, Justin also kept a clean sheet against a wasteful Arsenal. Grealish was unlucky to come off the pitch with only 1 point, as he had a goal cleared off the line. In all, this was just one of those game weeks.
GAME WEEK 7 PREVIEW
There are currently no plans for a transfer as yet, and just like last week, the armband rests solely on Kane who faces a Brighton side who have looked very shaky defensively, keeping just 1 clean sheet in 6 games. Spurs will be looking for a reaction following the midweek loss in the Europa league on Thursday night. Mitrovic may well be getting his last game in my team this week as he faces West Brom who look all over the place defensively. The plan is to move him on to either Maupay, Bamford or Wilson who are around the same price. Alternatively, I could move him on to Brewster next week and free up some cash to aid a transfer in midfield to Son/Sterling which would involve taking out Arnold to Chilwell. But at the moment, the plan is to stick with the same team from last week.
At this point, I wish you a better game week than the last. GO PLAY!
