Pursuing the present pressure in the country, few Fulani leaders have pleaded to the people of Iganga, Particularly they apologised to the people for the crimes committed by some herdsmen in the area. However, the police has asked peace to reign, promising to examine and investigate whereas bringing the criminals to justice.
The two Leaders having their names as the Seriki Fulani of Igbo Ora, Alhaji Idris Abubakar, and the Seriki Fulani of Eruwa, Alhaji Sule Mohammed.
They Particularly apologised, asking for forgiveness from those who were pissed of by their kinsmen after townspeople narrated how they are being oppressed by the Fulani herders who kidnap and molest them in their own lands.
These were disclosed by the leaders during a town hall meeting, in the presence of the new police commissioner, Ngozi Onadeko and a government delegation led by Fatai Owoseni, a retired police commissioner, who happen to be Governor Seyi Makinde’s special adviser on security.
