The Lagos state government on Thursday vowed to deal decisively with persons who were planning to protest for or against the reopening of the Lekki toll gates.
Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Gbenga Omotoso, gave the warning on Thursday, at a joint press briefing with Attorney- General and Commissioner for Justice, Moyosore Onibanjo and Lagos Commissioner for Police, Hakeem Odumosu, held in Alausa, Ikeja.
Also, the Lagos state police command vowed to arrest and prosecute any violators.
Recall that due to the announcement on the reopening of the toll gate, citizens who were aggrieved with the injustice aftermath of the EndSars shooting in Lekki organised a protest tagged #OccupyLekkiTollGate slated on the 13th of February. However, a counter protest tagged #DefendLagos was also organised and also scheduled to hold on the same day.
