Over 50,000 Tiv farmers have been displaced from 13 villages in Doma Local Government Area (LGA) of Nasarawa State.
They actually fled their homes following attacks by gunmen, suspected to be herders.
However this follows another revelation that Boko Haram has taken over Kaure Village in Shiroro local government and hoisted their flag.
Armed bandits ransacked 50 other villages in five other local government areas in the state.
The displaced settlements in Nasarawa State are Dooshima, Antsa, Dooka, Angwan Yara, Ikyayior, Targema, Tse Tor, Chia, Umurayi, Dooga, Gindan Rail, Ajikamaka and Ankoma all in Ekye development area of Doma South.
The internally displaced persons are now taking refuge in Kardoroko in Keana LGA and Agyaragu in LGAs.
Some fled to relations/friends’ homes in Kardoroko and Agyaragu while others left for Daudu in Guma Local Government Area.
