Nigeria’s closest past chief of defence staff, Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin, has predicted that the country’s next warfare and crisis will occur in forests.
He however disclosed this on Thursday, February 18, during his ambassadorial screening at the National Assembly.
Legit.ng reported that, The retired military general who although resigned as the chief of defence staff was nominated as a non-career Ambassador-Designate by the President of Nigeria.
Olonisakan gave lights from the research he carried out three years ago, where he arrived at a conclusion which shows that forest reserves have become hideouts for criminals.
However he concluded that, there are over one thousand forest reserves in Nigeria, which amounts urgent harness and protection.
